Marketing Partners/Sponsors Needed
Soddy Daisy, TN (4-4-2009) - Hixson Motorsports is currently seeking
marketing partners and sponsors for the #23 Chevrolets
and Dodges driven by Smolan, Kansas native Jeremy Petty, who is making a bid for ARCA's 2009 Rookie of the Year. We are
also seeking marketing partners and sponsors for Ron Cox who will run a limited schedule in 2009 in the #28 and #57 Chevrolets.

Petty, Cox Double-Team Mansfield
Soddy Daisy, TN (7-22-2009) - On Saturday Night, June 20th, Hixson Motorsports drivers Jeremy Petty (Hixson Construction
#23 Chevy) and Ron Cox (Hixson Construction #28 Chevy) ran at Mansfield Motorsports Park. Jeremy was forced to miss qualifying
while the team worked on his brakes, and started the race in the 22nd position. Jeremy ran strong for the entire race,
maintaining the lead lap for most of the event, receiving the "Lucky Dog" award once to regain his position on the lead lap.
Jeremy finished 12th, one lap down, after a very strong run. Jeremy made contact with another car during the race when that car
washed up in front of him in turn 3, crushing the left front fender and nose, but that damage didn't appear to affect lap times
on the half mile short track.
Ron started the race in the 21st position, and raced up into the top 10 before another driver decided that since he couldn't get
around Ron he would just go through him, spinning Ron out. Ron went through the spin cycle one more time off the nose of second
"high dollar" car that couldn't pass him, after which the driver of the other car ran over him. When the checkered flag flew,
Ron crossed under it in 17th position, completing 199 of 202 laps.
